Maternity Photography & Pregnancy Belly Cast

During her beautiful Mumma’s maternity photo session, Suzie from The Art Garage was on hand to make a belly cast with the mum-&-dad-to-be’s hands gently enveloping the baby belly.

Suzie paints & decorates the casts, but in this case we chose to leave it organic & egg shell & cocoon like. Beautifully suited to my hand felted wraps & the natural elements inspired maternity shoot.  SQP photographed an amazing water pool shoot which you can see here.

There is no more wonderful & original a ‘prop’ for the newborn session than to have your little one once again cocooned & cradled in the belly cast.

These awe-inspiring little newborns  grow so fast & once you have them in your arms, trying to imagine them as they were in a belly seems almost impossible.

At almost 4 weeks old, little Layla Annabelle has already grown & changed so much.  Remember When…
